What is integrated solar?

Integrated, or in-roof, solar replaces sections of the traditional roof covering with a purpose-designed solar mounting system. The panels sit much closer and more flush with the surrounding tiles or slates, creating a more discreet finish than conventional on-roof panels.
Your system can be combined with battery storage, allowing excess solar energy generated during the day to be stored and used later rather than immediately drawing electricity from the grid.
For customers already planning a new roof, integrated solar can be an excellent opportunity to combine the two projects and create a modern, energy-efficient roof system.

How it works
Step 1.
Contact our team
Start your solar project by booking your home visit using Calendly or call our team.
Step 2.
Home visit & survey
We’ll arrange to visit your home and complete a free drone inspection. We’ll then offer tailored recommendations for your project, offering as many options as possible.
Step 3.
Confirming your project
Once you’ve confirmed you’d like to proceed, we will offer you some dates and we’ll introduce you to your site manager. They will run through your project, answer any additional questions, organise any samples and finalise any material options with you.
Step 4.
Start date
With the green light from you, the materials will be delivered and a team will arrive on the agreed date. Your site manager will update you a week before your project starts and our team will arrive on time.
Step 5.
Finishing the job
Once complete, the site manager will ensure you’re happy with our work. When the invoice has been paid you’ll get a full receipt and guarantee.
Designed into your roof
Integrated solar requires more than simply fitting panels. The roof covering, weatherproofing, ventilation, electrical system and solar array all need to work together correctly.
The Solar Company manages the installation as a complete system, with the solar layout designed around your roof and energy requirements. Where the installation forms part of a roof replacement, our roofing experience means the roof and solar elements can be coordinated together rather than treated as two completely separate jobs.
We can also design your installation around battery storage and future energy requirements, including EV charging, helping ensure your system isn't undersized as your electricity usage changes.
