About The Solar Company: How we started
The Solar Company was created as the renewable energy division of The Apex Group, building on the experience and reputation established by our family-run roofing business, The Fascia Company.
Our roots in the property industry go back over 30 years, giving us extensive experience working on roofs and homes throughout Warwickshire and the West Midlands. As demand for renewable energy continued to grow, solar was a natural progression for the group.
Rather than approaching solar purely from an electrical perspective, we wanted to combine specialist solar technology with genuine roofing knowledge. A solar installation can remain on a property for decades, so understanding the condition, construction and weatherproofing of the roof beneath it is just as important as selecting the right panels and equipment.
Today, The Solar Company provides bespoke solar PV systems, battery storage and EV charging solutions, with each system designed around the individual property, electricity consumption and future energy requirements.
As part of The Apex Group, customers also benefit from the infrastructure, management and experience of an established local home-improvement business — while receiving a dedicated service focused specifically on renewable energy.

Bespoke system design
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all solar packages. Every system is designed around the individual property, available roof space, orientation, electricity consumption and the customer's objectives.
We can also take future requirements into account, including electric vehicles, heat pumps, air conditioning and other changes that may increase your electricity consumption.
Clear performance & savings projections
Before committing to an installation, you'll receive a detailed proposal showing your proposed panel layout, system specification, predicted electricity generation and estimated financial performance.
Our aim is to give you clear information about what the proposed system is expected to produce and how it could affect your electricity costs, rather than relying on headline savings claims.
Solar panels, battery storage & EV charging
We can design a complete home energy system rather than treating each product separately. Solar PV can be combined with battery storage and intelligent EV charging to help you generate, store and use more of your own electricity.

In-roof, on-roof & flat roof solar
Our roofing background allows us to offer solutions across a wide range of roof types. We install conventional on-roof systems, integrated in-roof solar and suitable flat-roof systems, allowing the installation method to be selected around the property rather than forcing every customer into the same solution.
Quality equipment
A solar installation is a long-term investment, so the quality of the components matters. We use carefully selected panels, inverters, batteries, mounting systems and associated equipment from established manufacturers.
Where manufacturer warranties apply, these are provided alongside the relevant installation documentation at handover.
10-year installation warranty
Every qualifying installation comes with our 10-year installation warranty, alongside the applicable product and manufacturer warranties for the equipment installed.
This gives customers protection not only from the manufacturers behind the individual components, but also from us for the installation itself.
Professionally managed from start to finish
We coordinate the project from survey and design through to installation, electrical works, commissioning and final handover.
You'll have clear communication throughout the process and a team that understands your individual system, rather than being passed between departments without anyone taking responsibility for the overall project.
Your roof is considered before we install
Solar panels can remain in place for 25 years or more, so installing them onto a roof that may shortly require major work makes little sense.
Our roofing experience means the roof itself can be considered as part of the project. Where we identify concerns, we'll discuss them with you before the solar installation rather than simply installing panels over an existing problem.
A professional, fully managed service
We don't just fit panels. Our aim is to provide a complete service from the initial consultation and system design through to installation, commissioning and handover documentation.
Where scaffolding or other access equipment is required, this can also be coordinated as part of the project, leaving you with one company managing the installation.
